EFF take on Zuma in parliament

Parliamentary speaker Baleka Mbete had to suspend proceedings in parliament after an Economic Freedom Fighter MP demanded that President Jacob Zuma repay the state the money spent on his Nkandla homestead.

EFF leader Julias Malema asked the president when will he plans to repay the money that Public Protector Thuli Madonsela suggested the president pay after the Nkandla upgrade.
When Malema was not satisfied with Zuma’s reply, he demanded a further response and refused to take his seat.

After numerous attempts by the speaker of parliament to calm the situation, parliament was suspended.
Eventually Malema demanded: “When are you paying back the money?”

Speaker Mbete then requested that the EFF members be removed from parliament.

Floyd Shivambu shouted: “You will not remove us”

In the video, Mbete asks: “Aphi amanye amapolisa”, after she had to call the police to forcibly remove the unruly MPs.
