EFF March to Phoenix: ‘An attack on any fighter is an attack on all’ – Malema

The march to Phoenix ‘against racist Indians’ as dubbed by the EFF, is set to commence at 10:00 on Thursday and Malema has already had a mouthful to say.

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) are holding a march to Phoenix and it is understood that supporters have already gathered in Gandhi Park. The red berets said they are holding this march “against racist Indians” following the unrest in KZN but before the march has even begun, CIC Julius Malema has taken to Twitter.

‘AN ATTACK ON ANY FIGHTER IN PHOENIX IS AN ATTACK ON ALL OF US’ – MALEMA

Malema, rallying up supporters, said; “Imagine taking advice from your enemy on how you must fight them; including black sellouts”.

“An attack on any fighter in Phoenix is an attack on all of us in South Africa and we will respond accordingly,” he added.

The EFF itself said this is the time for the Black child to rise and realise true liberation.

“Black child you have been battered and bruised, dejected and discarded, ignored even by the ones that promised you true liberation. This is your time to rise and realise true liberation in your lifetime. Racism should never be tolerated in this country,” it said on Twitter.

Malema, in a video, said police should find the “Indians” that killed people and if they don’t, the EFF will take it upon themselves to find them.

EFF HOPING TO STIR UP RACIAL TENSIONS WITH MARCH, SAYS STEENHUISEN

Democratic Alliance (DA) Leader John Steenhuisen said on Wednesday that the EFF is hoping to stir up racial tensions and inflame violence between Black and Indian residents with its march to Phoenix.

Steenhuisen appealed to the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) to intervene.

“I have today written to the Chairperson of the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) asking him to intervene in the escalating race-baiting and racial scapegoating in KwaZulu-Natal in the wake of the unrest and looting, and specifically to take action against the organisers of a planned EFF march on 5 August aimed at whipping up anti-Indian sentiment,” said Steenhuisen.

An EFF member took to Twitter and said that when black people were killed in a massacre by Indians in Phoenix, the DA and John Steenhuisen did not issue any statement condemning it.

“Now that [the] EFF want to protest against this act of racism, suddenly we are hearing from [the] DA.”

EFF Commissar Mbuyiseni Ndlozi said the EFF is in Phoenix to demand justice for victims of the “Phoenix Massacre”.

“This is where over 30 innocent African people were slaughtered in their own country, in a state celebrated Indian Anti-African orgy of violence! Their sin: being African!”
