EC: Bodies of two males, 18 and 20, found with multiple gunshot wounds

The bodies of two males were found in East London, and a witness from the scene has been transported to hospital.

The bodies of two males aged 18 and 20 years old were found in the early hours of Sunday, 10 July.

Where were the males found?

The two bodies were found in Msimango Street Duncan Village, East London. According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), it is alleged that at around 03:03 the two bodies were found with multiple gunshot wounds to their upper bodies.

A witness at the scene was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics after sustaining a bullet wound to their upper body.

Investigations are ongoing and the SAPS have appealed for information

“The motive of (the) shooting is unknown at the present moment as the witness was taken by the paramedics to the hospital with bullet wound on the upper body,”

said the police.

The SAPS further revealed that two murder and attempted murder cases have been opened. Adding that no arrests in the matter have yet been made as the investigation is ongoing.

Decomposing body with MISSING head and torso found in QwaQwa

In other news making headlines, it was reported that the South African Police Services (SAPS) in the Free State are investigating the circumstances surrounding a decomposing body found in a forest in QwaQwa.

The person has not yet been identified. A teenager who was collecting wood near the Sekoto river last week found the decomposing body. SAPS spokesperson Mmako Mophiring that both the head and the torso were missing.

The identity, as well as other information surrounding the incident, have yet to be established and an inquest has been opened to determine the individual’s cause of death.

“An inquest has been opened to determine the cause of death. We are still waiting for relatives or family or a next of kin who might report that a person has been missing,” said Mophiring. Read the full story here.
