Another Cape Town mass murder: Three people shot and killed in Delft
Two men and a woman were found in a shack with gunshot wounds on Thursday. It is the third mass murder in Delft in as many months.

The Cape Town police are probing another mass shooting after three dead bodies were found in Delft on Thursday afternoon, 23 June.
DELFT TRIPLE MURDER
South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson Colonel Andre Traut said the victims – two men and a woman aged in their late twenties – were found in a shack in an informal settlement in Delft.
“Preliminary investigation indicated that the victims were shot and killed,” said Traut.
According to the police, the motive for the triple murder is yet to be established and no arrests have been made.

Earlier this week, two men – aged 19 and 23 – died after unknown suspects shot at them on the Stellenbosch Arterial near the Freedom Farm Area on Sunday. Two more people were wounded in the incident.

In an unrelated incident, three men were shot and killed in Delft on the evening of Sunday, 3 April.
Three men – aged 32 and 22 – died of gunshot wounds after unidentified gunmen opened fire on them at approximately 20:50.
On 25 May, another three people were killed in the area and a 13-year-old girl was seriously wounded.
“Reports indicate that an unknown number of suspects started firing several shots on the corner of Umvoti and Sabi Streets at 19:05 fatally wounding three persons and injuring two,” said Brigadier Novela Potelwa.
Too many mass shootings to count have taken place in Cape Town in 2022. At least 24 people have been killed in such incidents in Khayelitsha alone this year.
