Decomposing body of plumber discovered in Redcliffe

The decomposing body of the elderly plumber was found on Friday afternoon in his home in Redcliff, KwaZulu-Natal.

THE DECOMPOSING BODY OF PLUMBER WAS FOUND BY NEIGBOURS

According to Reaction Unit SA (RUSA), spokesperson Prem Balram said the man was found in his informal home on Karnigadu Road in Redcliffe.

“The decomposing body of an elderly man was discovered during a wellness check-in at his informal home on Karnigadu Road in Redcliffe on Friday afternoon.”

Balram said neighbours contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at around 14:28 after they made the discovery.

THE PLUMBER WAS UNWELL FOR SEVERAL WEEKS

“RUSA Members were dispatched to the call and on arrival met with the caller, who stated that they decided to conduct a wellness check on the man due to him last being seen on Wednesday. He was also unwell for several weeks.”

He furthermore said the deceased man was a plumber who had lived in the area for nearly 15 years.

Meanwhile, a 21-year-old man was murdered on Thursday after he allegedly refused to return borrowed clothes in Iqadi.

According to Reaction Unit SA (RUSA) spokesperson Prem Balram, the incident happened on Thursday.

He said members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on the scene at approximately 09:06 on Thursday.

Man murdered for refusing to return borrowed clothes in KZN

Balram said the murdered man was allegedly confronted by two brothers who had asked him to hand over a pair of jeans that he had borrowed.

“The brothers confronted the man who was known to them outside his home and asked him to hand over a pair of jeans which he borrowed.

“The man refused and insisted that they return a pair of takkies which they borrowed from him then only would he hand over the jeans.”
