The Department of Basic Education is urging the Class of 2022 to return its e-learning tablets to their respective schools.

HERE’S WHY DBE REQUIRES THE TABLETS BACK

“The Department requests all quintile 1, 2 and 3 grade 12 learners in the Province who have received the Ubuhlebuzile e-learning tablets to return them to their respective schools before the release of the National Senior Certificate Examinations results on Friday, 20 January 2023.”

“Learners are reminded that the tablets remain the property of the Department and are thus directed to return them to their schools as required,” DBE cautioned.

The Department further stated that the tablets are needed to be redistributed to deserving 2023 grade 12 learners in line with the intention to improve learner performance and expand the 4th Industrial Revolution programme to quintile 1 to 3 schools within the province.

PARENTS URGED TO REMIND THE CLASS OF 2022

“Parents and guardians are requested to remind and encourage their children to return the tablets to their schools so as not to disadvantage the Class of 2023 in its NSC education journey. The Department is grateful to those who did the right thing by returning the tablets at the stipulated time,” DBE explained.
