Damaging WAVES are expected on Sunday in several parts of South Africa. Here is a list of the affected areas.

The SA Weather Services (SAWS) said damaging waves are expected on Sunday in these areas in South Africa.
According to the SAWS, the conditions are expected in the Northern and Western Cape on Sunday.
A level 1 warning for damaging waves was also issued for Sunday for these areas:
“Localised disruption to beachfront activities is possible. Coastal users and anglers on low-lying rocks are at risk of being caught off guard by high-energy waves and swept off to sea. Furthermore, small vessels and personal watercraft (kayaks) are at risk of taking on water and capsizing in a locality.”

The SAWS warned the public to be aware of large, unpredictable waves along the coast.

“Small vessels are advised to seek shelter in harbours, bays, or inlets.”
Meanwhile, a weather advisory is issued for heatwave conditions in several areas on Sunday.
These areas will be affected by the HEATWAVE conditions:
It warned that prolonged exposure to midday sun poses health risks such as dehydration and heatstroke.
“Stay hydrated. Seek shades/shelter. Work early morning and late afternoon, and avoid midday sun exposure.”
Lastly, a warning for veld fire conditions was also issued for Sunday.
The SAWS said conditions are such that the FDI index is above 75.

“Under these conditions, fires may develop and spread rapidly, damaging property and possibly losing human and/or animal life.”

It warned that fire teams should be on standby.
