Police seek assistance in identifying three bodies following multiple-vehicle crash

Three men died in a horrific crash outside Phalaborwa in Limpopo. Police are seeking assistance so that the bodies can be identified.

Police in Lulekani are seeking public  assistance in identifying the bodies of three men who succumbed to their injuries following a multiple-vehicle crash that happened on Friday 23 December 2022 at Selwane village along the D3260 Road outside Phalaborwa in Limpopo.  

Four motor vehicles namely a Toyota Quantum minibus, Volkswagen Polo, Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux VVTi were involved in the car crash which happened in Lulekani policing area. 

THREE BODIES YET TO BE IDENTIFIED FOLLOWING FATAL CRASH 

The South African Police Service (SAPS) has urged anyone with information that can assist in the identification of the deceased or have information that can assist to locate their families is requested to come forward and contact Investigating Officer Constable Joseph Maluleke at 082 319 9713 alternatively report to Crime Stop number 086001011 or to the nearest Police Station  and can send message to MysapsApp.

Meanwhile, the death toll in the Boksburg tanker explosion has increased to 15. The figure includes four people from the same family as well as three staff members from the Tambo Memorial Hospital.

According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), the 32-year-old tanker driver has been charged with multiple counts of culpable homicide, negligent causing of an explosion resulting in death [Act 26 of 1956, Section 27 (2)] and malicious damage to property.
