Leader of the Democratic Alliance John Steenhuisen and leader of ActionSA Herman Mashaba sat down for a cup of tea to discuss issues of national importance today, Thursday, 8 December.

CUP OF TEA TRIGGERS THOUGHTS ABOUT THE MEETING

The duo shared an identical photograph of them over a thought-provoking meeting which its fine details are yet to surface.

Following the meeting over a cup of tea, both had sentiments to share to their followers.

Mashaba said: “I am pleased that John Steenhuisen and I have made some positive strides this morning over tea, exploring ways to work together in the municipalities where ActionSA and the DA co-govern, and the all-important 2024 Project”.

Steenhuisen remarked: “Our work of building a prosperous and secure future for South Africa continues. Today I had a constructive meeting with the Leader of ActionSA, Herman Mashaba – discussing issues of mutual interest as part of our bilateral meetings with various political organisations”.

Another event that proved that the DA and ActionSA are capable of building a solid and strong relationship is the union between City of Johannesburg Mayor Mpho Phalatse and Brutus Malada, an ActionSA member.

The pair took things to the next level this past weekend. The couple had a pastoral blessing over the weekend, with the actual wedding on the cards for early next year.
