Creed III star Jonathan Majors arrested on assault charges

Jonathan Majors Creed III co-star, an upcoming Hollywood star, was detained in New York due to assault claims.

After reportedly assaulting a woman, Jonathan Majors was detained early on Saturday morning.

A 33-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman were involved in a domestic quarrel, according to preliminary findings of the police investigation after they responded to an emergency call in Manhattan late on Saturday night.

Majors was reportedly detained at around 11:00 a.m. ET after police responded to a plea for assistance in Manhattan’s Chelsea district.

According to reports, the accused victim was crimson and had marks on her face in addition to a laceration behind her ear.

Unknown to the actor’s relationship, the woman was transported to the hospital in “stable condition” with minor head and neck injuries.

Strangulation, assault, and harassment were the charges brought against Jonathan Majors.

Majors’ lawyer Priya Chaudhry said in a statement issued on Sunday that the actor is utterly innocent and was probably the victim of a fight with a woman he knows.

However, requests for confirmation as to whether the actor is still detained have received no response from judicial officials.

Majors charged with assault and harassment

After his arrest on Saturday for an alleged domestic altercation, the New York district attorney filed seven counts of assault and harassment against Jonathan Majors.

According to documents acquired by Fox News Digital, Jonathan Majors, 33, was charged with two counts of third-degree assault, two counts of second-degree aggravated harassment, an attempted third-degree assault, and two instances of second-degree harassment.

Majors is scheduled to appear in court on May 8 after a judge granted a limited order of protection against the actor.

Who is Jonathan Majors?

American actor Jonathan Michael Majors was born on September 7, 1989. He first gained notoriety after playing the lead role in the 2019 independent film The Last Black Man in San Francisco.

In 2020, he attracted more attention after playing the lead role in the 2020 HBO television series Lovecraft Country, for which he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award.

Majors, the son of a pastor, grew up outside of Dallas with his sister and brother. Although they are now on speaking terms, he was estranged from his father, who left when he was a child.

Michael B Jordan’s co-star in the film Creed III, actor Jonathan Majors is one of those serious, award-nominated performers whose career is only now beginning to heat up but whose name is quickly becoming one of the public’s favourite actors.

The actor currently has lead roles in two significant Hollywood series. His most recent motion movies, “Creed III” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” were just made available to the public last month.
