South Africa recorded 1 558 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) has said on Friday.
This brings the total number of laboratory-confirmed cases to 3 702 042.
This increase of 1 558 new COVID-19 cases represents a 5.3% positivity rate.
A further 39 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported, bringing total fatalities to 99 868 to date.
“The cumulative number of recoveries is 3 587 145.”
