Cape Town: Couple burn to death during overnight shack fire

A Cape Town couple has met a tragic death after their shack went up in flames in Kosovo, Philippi over the past weekend.

The tragedy took place on Saturday evening. Terrified neighbours in the Cape Town Kosovo informal settlement found the bodies of a man and woman in the morning after the overnight blaze.

CAPE TOWN COUPLE’S DEATH HAS MORE QUESTIONS THAN ANSWERS

As reported by Crossing The Bridge Facebook page, the incident took place in the early hours of Sunday morning, at B block in Kosovo. The cause of the fire has not yet been established.

“It is sad to confirm that a couple has been found burned to ashes in their house in Area B in Kosovo. The disaster happened in the midnight hours of Sunday,” the community news posted.

THE DEAD COUPLE WAS ONE OF THE OUTLET’S NEWS SOURCES

The pair were said to be one of Crossing the Bridge’s news sources in the Cape Town area.

“Sadly, the couple was one of our news informers in the area. The couple had recently helped us to report the discovery of a dead woman’s body in the same Area B of Kosovo.”

“We as this news publication send our thoughts to those who are related to the late couple,” the page concluded.
