Five killed in collision on R75 between Kariega and Graaff-Reinet
Five people have been killed while three were injured in a collision involving a minitruck on the R75 in the Eastern Cape.

Five people died while three others sustained serious injuries following a collision between two vehicles on the R75 between Kariega and Graaff-Reinet in the Eastern Cape.
The horrific accident happened on Friday, 26 May.
FIVE KILLED IN COLLISION
Eastern Cape Department of Transport spokesperson Unathi Binqose said two occupants of a mini truck died at the scene, and three occupants of the bakkie also died on the scene.
Binqose said three occupants of the bakkie who were injured were taken to the Kariega Provincial Hospital.
“It is a head on collision and head on collisions always tell a story of one driver that was on the right side of the road. It is for that reason why the MEC for transport Xolile Nqatha is constantly calling on all road users, motorists in particular, to be patient on the road, obey the rules of the road at all times, and help us avoid avoidable accidents such as head on collisions,” he said.
A case of culpable homicide has reportedly been opened for further investigations.
