WHAT TO DO ON AN ACCIDENT SCENE

Every year, 1.35 million road users die worldwide.

Many of them are vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and motorbike riders.

Here are a few tips to avoid these types of accidents with trucks:

  • Pay attention to the weather, traffic flow, where trucks are, as well as vehicle signals so you can foresee issues and have enough time to safely adjust your direction if necessary.
  • You run a higher risk of getting hurt if you are driving close to a truck due to sudden stops, tire blowouts, or wind-related rollovers. Give plenty of space for merging, swerving, and maneuvering whether you are following, preceding, or following a large vehicle.
  • Before merging in front of the truck, be sure you can see the whole front end of the vehicle to avoid a rear-end collision.
