USERS LEFT WORRIED BY CAPITEC BANK GLITCH

Capitec App users rushed to social media to gather opinions about what seemed to be a malfunction on the bank’s App on Friday, 24 March.

Capitec users began experiencing challenges when attempting to log into their accounts via the App.

The South African gathered on social media that when one enters their secret pin code, the pin was declined with a red notification stating ‘Incorrect Pin – Please try again’, which sent many into panic mode after several attempts.

GLITCHES PRONE TO THE ELECTRONIC BANKING SYSTEM

This wasn’t the first glitch experienced by Capitec bank clients. In August last year, clients complained after failing to see their banking balances on the App.

The frustrated Capitec Bank clients took to social media to reveal they can’t access funds in their accounts after the bank revealed it was experiencing an infrastructure problem on its central servers that support its banking channels. The bank’s mobile application, online, and cellphone banking platforms were down for over 24 hours,  according to EWN .

“We are aware that some of our clients are experiencing issues on our app, internet banking, and USSD services. We want to assure you that we are on it and doing everything possible to resolve the issue. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience. ATMs and cards are working,” Capitec bank responded.
