Sjoe, guys… this is something else.

According to a report on News24, a “popular local DJ” was allegedly busted with R2.6 million worth of drugs and almost R300 000 in cash at his home in Tamboerskloof.

The accused appeared in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on Thursday after the Hawks swooped in and found cocaine and MDMA on Tuesday.

Dino Michael and his wife made a brief court appearance on Thursday. Michael was released on R50 000 bail. His wife was released on R10 000 bail.

Michael used to have a Saturday night deep house show branded as “Godfather’s House” on GoodhopeFM.

His advocate said that he would plead not guilty to the charges against him, according to TimesLive.

The court heard that the 48-year-old, known as Godfather and DJ Syndicate, earns R20 000 a month for his gig as resident DJ at Chinchilla in Camps Bay. He was earning R8 000 a month at GoodhopeFM before he left the station recently.

His passport was confiscated by the police as part of his bail prevents him from leaving the Western Cape without the investigating officer’s permission.
