Cape Town areas without electricity: 33 places affected between 5 and 11 September

The City of Cape Town will continue its ongoing electrical maintenance work in the week of Monday, 5 September. There will be electricity supply disruptions in 33 areas across the metro.
The City of Cape Town does not carry out maintenance when Stage 3 and above load shedding is in place. The information in the table to follow was correct at the time of publication.
Residents are advised to switch off appliances at the wall before maintenance starts to reduce potential damage from power surges.
As previously reported, the City of Cape Town says its maintenance programme enables it to ensure residents have access to a reliable supply of electricity.
“We encourage residents to always double-check on the City’s social media channels to see if their area will be affected by the regular electricity maintenance during the week.
“Where customers are affected by supply interruptions due to normal maintenance, they should receive a door-to-door notice ahead of the planned work,” said the City of Cape Town.
