There is an abundance of affordable office space available at both the Fourways (pictured) and Morningside workspaces of Cube Workspace in Johannesburg

The business brains behind Cube Workspace are taking it upon themselves to revolutionise the way South African city-dwellers work. In fact, they’ve really thought outside of the box for their new offices in Fourways and Morningside (Johannesburg).

One thing that Cube WS do very well is get their locations spot-on. Their co-working space at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town overlooks the harbour to the north, and boasts views of Table Mountain to the south. Their eye for prime real estate is just as sharp in Jozi, too…

The Morningside branch is nestled comfortably north of the luxurious Sandton region. The offices of Fourways are just a stones throw from the large metropolitan mall, keeping workers at the centre of the city’s beating heart.

What do these work spaces offer?

With office solutions like these at Morningside, it’s easy to see why demand has skyrocketed for Cube Workspace

Both the Fourways and Morningside workspaces provide private office space for all kinds of businesses, freelancers, and the self-employed. They offer a range of office sizes, boardrooms, and co-working spaces for those who have to ‘hot-desk’.

What all Cube Workspaces do incredibly well is provide consistent, quality service. Every workspace comes with on-site IT support, high-quality cafés, and a very reassuring security presence. The staff are a delight to work with, and will ensure anyone who steps foot in a Cube Workspace building will be made to feel right at home

These brand new establishments join their sister offices – Bryanston and Kyalami – in providing Joburgers with excellent co-work space solutions. But there’s something genuinely groundbreaking about these latest additions.

Co-working becomes ‘Eco-working’ at Fourways and Morningside

Both branches are solar powered, and Fourways has two large trees inside the building

We spoke to Cube Workspace CEO Wayne Windell, and he talked us through the ‘green revolution’ that Morningside and Fourways are championing.

Wayne revealed that these workspaces are both completely solar powered, and removed from the city’s energy supply. This flexible, yet productive workspace is seriously committed to looking after the environment.

“The design concept behind Fourways was sustainability. We have green pause areas spread throughout the building. There are two large indoor trees with park benches beneath for when you need to break away from the stress of business. Although, our intention was to bring the outdoors indoors and promote a healthy balance between workstyle and lifestyle.”

“At Cube Workspace however, we are committed to investing in sustainable solutions. we want to minimize our carbon footprint. therefore we have made the conscious decision to implement solar panels in all our new workspaces. Both Fourways and Morningside are solar powered and off the grid.”

All work and no play…

The five-hole putt-putt course at the Fourways branch has been a very well-received addition

Already, in their first month of opening, Fourways and Morningside have had an overwhelming response from people looking to utilise their facilities. It’s not just their eco-friendly stance that’s got tongues wagging, though.

Wayne’s philosophy is admirable. He seeks a harmonious balance between work and life styles, and Wayne certainly practices what he preaches: Fourways has installed a five-hole putt-putt course on its premises, along with an interactive auditorium and the Cube Café (with beer on tap). Take it from our experiences of working here: Nobody does a chicken mayo wrap as good as these guys.
