The world’s richest man has been accused of trying to cover-up an alleged act of sexual misconduct in 2016. Elon Musk, worth over $200 billion according to the Bloomberg Billionaire’s Index, apparently paid off his victim in exchange for her silence – but what’s Amber Heard got to do with it?
Elon Musk accused of sexual misconduct: What are the claims?
In a declaration filed earlier this week, a corporate jet attendant for SpaceX claims that Musk touched her inappropriately by rubbing her leg, and asked if she would give him an erotic massage. However, the accusations go deeper..
It’s understood that the woman agreed to give him a ‘full body massage’, but Musk allegedly asked her to go further – it’s at this point the accuser says the billionaire exposed his erect penis to her, and encouraged her to ‘do more’.
Massages, horses, and Amber Heard…
There’s also a mention of him promising to buy the flight attendant a horse in exchange for these sexual favours. A settlement was reached between the pair, topping the $250 000 mark. However, Elon Musk maintains his innocence.
Around this time, he was getting divorced from Talulah Riley, and reportedly, started dating Amber Heard after the pair crossed paths at the Met Gala. A therapist for the actress claims this happened ‘just a few weeks’ after her acrimonious split from Johnny Depp.
Elon Musk says accusations are ‘political ploy’
Only yesterday, Elon Musk Tweeted a prediction that ‘political attacks’ against him would be on the increase. Timed just hours before the Business Insider US exposé went public, his supporters say that he was proved right. Critics, however, believe this was simply ‘pre-emptive PR’.
Speaking further on the article, Musk insists that political motivations have dictated the timing of it all. He did, however, find time to deliver a quip he’d been waiting a long time to use:
“The attacks against me should be viewed through a political lens – this is their standard (despicable) playbook – but nothing will deter me from fighting for a good future and your right to free speech. Still, at least we get to use ‘Elongate’ as the term for this…”
