Police Minister Bheki Cele lost his cool with Action Society’s Ian Cameron after he called him out for failing to address crime in the area

Police Minister Bheki Cele is still topping the Twitter trends’ list thanks to his little outburst during a heated exchange at a community engagement in Gugulethu, Cape Town recently.
Cele lost his cool with Ian Cameron, a director of community safety at Action Society, after he strongly criticised the minister and his department for failing to adequately address crime in the country.
“And I’m not going to take any nonsense of somebody who regards me as a garden boy today because you regard me as a garden boy. You come here… Shut up! Shut up! I sat here, I listened to you talking nonsense. Listen! It’s your time to listen! Sit down and listen young man, or get out,” Cele told Cameron.

Now it has been learnt that Ian Cameron is taking legal action against Bheki Cele after he was manhandled and removed from the event.
Cameron has accused Cele of playing dirty politics and not focusing on the comminuties grievances.
“Cele didn’t like the fact that I told him that he was failing his own constitutional mandate and that he was turning crime into a political issue, instead of focusing on the problem at hand. So yes, he lost his temper and he started shouting at me and I was then forcefully removed by police. But we won’t stop speaking out against him and the way he’s abusing his powers for thuggery and police thuggery,” he told Eyewitness News (EWN).
