A rather graphic video shows the moment a woman is gruesomely attacked by a pit bull inside an elavator – and this one is definitely not for the faint-hearted.
According to news.com.au, the Colombian woman had been trying to escape the dog by rushing to the elavator in her apartment building in Cúcuta, but it still managed to get its teeth into her. She tries with all her might to fight off the pit bull, which bit her eck, legs and arms.

As to how the pit bull attack even occurred, the 25-year-old had been putting on her shoes in her bedroom last week when the dog, which belongs to another resident, began to attack her.
“Her reaction was to crawl to the door and go out into the hallway, hoping a neighbor would help her. When the animal jumped on her, the only thing she thought was that if she stayed on the fifth floor, no one was going to rescue her,” someone is quoted as having told local media.
During the attack, the woman eventually manages to get to the elevator button, pressing it with her bloodied hand. When the doors open, the pit bull then latches onto her again, dragging her out backwards and leaving a pool of blood on the floor. When she got to the lobby, people finally rushed to her aid and took her to a nearby hospital.
“She has fractures in two fingers of her right hand, a phalanx on her left. She is still hospitalized and pending transfer to a clinic for a medical procedure,” a police spokesperson is quoted as having said about the woman’s condition.
