No end in sight: Stage 5 load shedding continues until further notice
SA will continue to experience Stage 5 load shedding as Eskom extends high-level power cuts due to higher than anticipated demand.

Stage 5 load shedding will remain in place until further notice, power utility Eskom announced on Wednesday morning, 12 April.
Eskom provides no timeframe for lifting Stage 5 load shedding
The continuation of Stage 5 load shedding is due to higher than anticipated demand. In a short statement, Eskom provided no further details and said another update would follow on Wednesday afternoon.
The City of Cape Town also provided its residents with a power cut forecast and said Stage 4 load shedding would be implemented until further notice.
Both the City and ubiquitous load shedding app, EskomSePush, say rapid changes are expected at higher stages of power cuts.
