Power utility Eskom provided a load shedding update on Wednesday afternoon, 15 March, and announced that load shedding would continue at its current level until further notice.

STAGE 3 LOAD SHEDDING UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

On Tuesday’s Power Alert, Eskom said South Africa would move between Stages 3 and 4 until further notice.

However, in Wednesday’s short update, the power utility indicated there had been an improvement in generating capacity over the past day and as a result, Stage 3 load shedding would remain in place until further notice.

“Eskom will provide an update as soon as any significant changes occur,” said the power utility, which has announced “improvements” in capacity daily this week.
