A security officer was killed, and a critically injured farmer was found with several gunshot wounds after farm attack in Brondal on Monday.
A security officer died after he was shot multiple times during a farm attack in Brondal near Nelspruit on Monday morning while the farmer was found in the kitchen critically injured, with several gunshot wounds. Three others were also injured in the attack.
According to ER24 Emergency Services, paramedics and local authorities arrived on the scene shortly after 06h00.
“On scene, a male security office was found lying outside beneath a window. Unfortunately, the man had already succumbed to his multiple gunshot wounds and was later declared dead.”
ER24 said the farmer was found lying in the kitchen with several gunshot wounds, leaving him in a critical condition.

“A second security officer and two women were walking inside the home with only minor injuries.
“Medics treated the patients and provided the critically injured man with advanced life support interventions.”
The critically injured farmer was airlifted to a hospital while the security officer was transported by ambulance.
“The two women were transported privately to a nearby hospital.”
It furthermore said local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
According to Ian Cameron, Director of Action Society, three heavily armed men in blue overalls are still at large.
It is believed the attackers ransacked the home before they fled in a White Ford Ranger 4×4.
The vehicle was recovered abandoned.
Police could not yet confirm the incident nor give any information.
