Possible reasons for these crimes

Former forensic specialist and court expert, Stan Bez’hout, said that one reason for these crimes is financial gain.

“One of the most common motives for kidnapping is financial gain. Kidnappers may target individuals who are wealthy or hold positions of power, such as politicians or CEOs, with the intention of demanding a large ransom in exchange for their safe return.” Bez’hout said.

Another possible reason for the crimes he gave was revenge.

He stated that individuals who have a personal vendetta against the victim or their family, such as a former employee who feels they were wrongfully dismissed, may use revenge as a motive for kidnapping.

Such kidnappings are usually carried out by individuals who have a personal connection to the victim and have a good understanding of their routine, making it easier for them to plan and execute the crime.
