SONA 2023: EFF claims members were INJURED during removal
A fight broke out in Parliament after Julius Malema was asked to leave the House, members of the EFF were allegedly injured in the scuffle

President of the Economic Freedom Fighters, Julius Malema, alleged that members of his party were injured during a fight that occurred tonight at the State of the Nation Address (SONA).
The altercation started when members of the party were asked to leave.

Members of the EFF injured
After Malema was asked to leave the House, EFF members took to the stage, and a fight broke out.
While speaking to the media, Malema stated that they have not yet been able to account for all the injured members.
He confirmed that their national chairperson sustained injuries after falling down during the removal.

Malema alleged that she fell down amongst a group of men who in turn were stepping on top of her.
He further claimed that members of the Presidential Protection Unit and the Parliamentary Protection Unit, whom they identified by their badges, injured her.

Eff to take legal action
Malema further stated that the party will be taking legal action.

“She cannot take me out of Parliament without calling my name three times, and warning me three times. When you abandon the rules of Parliament for emotions, this is what happens” Malema said.
