A man was left in critical condition after his car crashed into a tree on Saturday, 3 November.
A 26-year-old man was left with critical injuries following a crash on the M41 in the Umhlanga Ridge area in the early hours of the morning.
Just after 5:00 when Emer-G-Med paramedics arrived on the scene, they discovered that a light vehicle had left the road and crashed into a tree.
The driver, who was the only occupant, was discovered critically injured and trapped in the wreckage.
Emer-G-Med and Netcare911 advanced life support paramedics worked tirelessly to stabilize him while he was cut free with the Jaws-of-life.
Once he was free, he was quickly transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

When paramedics arrived, it was discovered that a vehicle had struck a pedestrian, causing critical injuries to the pedestrian.
The pedestrian died as a result of their injuries, despite advanced life support interventions.
