HERMAN MASHABA CALLS FOR PUBLIC ARRESTS

Meanwhile, Action4SA leader Herman Mashaba says one of the fastest ways to regain the respect of the world and instil respect for the rule of law is to take action against lawlessness at the very top.

Speaking in light of the Digital Vibes scandal, Mashaba was quoted on Timeslive saying that the public disclosure of the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) report should have been followed by public and embarrassing arrests of those involved.

“We need a strong statement for the world to see. Throw the corrupt hyenas in jail,” said Mashaba.

Earlier today Health Minister Joe Phaahla said announced the suspension of 6 officials who were implicated in the Digital Vibes scandal and said his department was anxious to conclude the disciplinary processes in order to focus on the vaccination rollout programme.
