A serious motor vehicle accident occurred on the N14 in the Centurion area on Thursday, 22 December.

Patients airlifted after motor vehicle accident

Vision Tactical along with various other services was on the scene of a serious motor vehicle accident on the N14 in the Centurion area.

Multiple patients were treated, and critical patients were airlifted to various hospitals in the area by various medical helicopters.

More patients were transported by ambulance.

Unfortunately, some patients died as a result of their injuries on the scene.

Road users are urged to avoid the area if possible due to traffic delays on the way to Pretoria.

Another incident on the N14 earlier in the week

On Tuesday, 20 December, a man, and toddler were killed, and a 24-year-old woman was critically injured after their light motor vehicle collided with a truck on the N14 between Carletonville.

The woman was discovered lying next to the vehicle, critically injured.

She was given advanced life support before being taken to Carletonville provincial hospital for further treatment.

The man and toddler were found with fatal injuries and were pronounced dead on arrival by North West Gov EMS (EMRS).

The truck driver was not hurt in the incident.
