Man arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend
A man was arrested in Tseseng Village for allegedly killing his lover’s ex-boyfriend. The body was discovered in the woman’s yard with two head wounds.

A man was arrested for allegedly killing his lover’s ex-boyfriend in Malekunutu Section in Tseseng Village, Free State, earlier this month.
MAN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY KILLING HIS LOVER’S EX-BOYFRIEND
Last Sunday, 5 March, a man’s body was found lying in the yard of his ex-girlfriend at approximately 8:50. The deceased had two open wounds to his head.
“He was identified as Mxolisi Mthombeni, 50, residing at Phomolong next to the Tseseng shopping complex. The deceased was ex-boyfriend to a woman whose son was also found in the same place,” said South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson Warrant Officer Mmako Mophiring.
The mother and son told police they had not seen the deceased for the past few months and clarified that they no longer had a relationship with him.
Three days later, on Wednesday, 8 March, the woman’s new boyfriend was arrested in connection with Mthombeni’s alleged murder.
The man appeared before the Tseseng Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 9 March, charged with murder.
