Now this is what we’d call an eye-watering bill. The alleged Holiday Swindler – otherwise known as Hello Darlings CEO Tasneem Moosa – has been rumbled in a major way, after hundreds of her clients decided to take legal action.

The latest news and updates on Tasneem Moosa

Moosa hit the headlines last week, after she did a digital disappearing act. Posing as a legitimate travel agency, the elusive fraudster organised luxury getaways for her clients – but one the money cleared, the trips never materialised.

She deleted all of her social media profiles, and scores of gatvol customers were unable to get in contact with her.

As it slowly dawned on these people that they had been conned, viral posts about the ‘Holiday Swindler’ started gaining traction online. The victims were then encouraged to take their own course of legal action, and boy, they really aren’t playing about. At least 368 cases of theft and fraud have been opened against Tasneem Moosa.

Information provided by anti-crime advocate Yusuf Abramjee also reveals that Moosa was able to accumulate an eye-watering R32.4 million from her Hello Darlings scam. On Monday, it was confirmed that the fraudulent company had applied for liquidation – but the threat of prosecution still looms over the Holiday Swindler.

Further digging on the matter has also exposed Tasneem Moosa’s OTHER venture, which has striking similarities to the Hello Darlings racket. Her company, Femme Voyages, has been operating in Dubai – and was fully licensed by the business department of the UAE government.

Anyone who has dealt with this company is now being advised to raise a claim with police in the Arab nation. The Holiday Swindler continues to protest her innocence, but the evidence against her is still mounting.
