Tasneem Moosa, known as the infamous ‘Holiday Swindler’, has officially filed for liquidation on behalf of her company, Hello Darlings. The sham organisation, which took customers’ money without delivering the vacations they were hoping for, has become a major national talking point this week.

Hello Darlings in the mud…

Scores of her alleged victims went public with their grievances last week, leading to charges being laid with SAPS. Tasneem Moosa had apparently managed to dupe her clients for a long time, but everything came crashing down at the start of the month, meaning there was no way back for Hello Darlings.

The so-called Holiday Swindler continues to protest her innocence, but dozens of scorned citizens are fighting tooth and nail to get their money back. Moosa initially did a digital disappearing act, deleting her social media profiles and business accounts – only to resurface a few days ago, and battle a growing mountain of allegations.

On Tuesday, a lawyer’s letter confirming the application for liquidation was made public. Hello Darlings will, therefore, cease all of its operations for good. But it may be too little, too late for some…

Requisition forms will be made available to anyone who fell victim to the purported scammer, and according to Kaap-Vaal Trust, Tasneem Moosa’s misdemeanours will now be a matter for the creditors to dissect.

“We have received information that [Hello Darlings] has filed for liquidation. We humbly request that our provisional liquidator is nominated, for the benefit of all creditors. Should you have a claim against the before-mentioned entity, there is a requisition form you can send to us. Please contact us with any queries.”
