Will ANC members march for Ramaphosa’s removal on Friday?

There seems to be lack of clarity surrounding reports that African National Congress (ANC) members will be marching for the removal of President Cyril Ramaphosa on Friday, 15 July 2022.
An ANC-themed poster for the march has been doing the rounds on social media, listing demands which also include the immediate reduction of the petrol price to R12 per litre (inclusive of all relevant tax reductions)
It has been a difficult past few weeks for Ramaphosa as he fights for political survival, in the wake of the Phala Phala farm scandal, skyrocketing petrol prices and load shedding.
DISGRUNTLED ANC MEMBERS WANT RAMAPHOSA GONE
While the ANC has labelled the march against President Cyril Ramaphosa as fake news, former MKMVA spokesperson Carl Niehaus maintains the posters are legitimate and things are going ahead as planned.
Niehaus spoke to TimesLive about the march and encouraged South Africans to take part. He said failure to ensure that Ramaphsoa gets charged over the mysterious ongoings at his property would mean that law enforcement in the country has been captured.
Opposition parties are already baying for Ramaphosa’s blood, with the EFF recently announcing it will lobby for his removal in Parliament.
“The courts of South Africa to compel parliament to conduct a thorough and transparent investigation of all the crimes committed by Cyril Ramaphosa with the aim of building a solid case of an impeachment. The EFF will approach all political parties in parliament, including the ANC to engage on a motion of no confidence against Cyril Ramaphosa as a president of South Africa,” said EFF leader Julius Malema.
Meanwhile ATM intends resubmitting its bid to have Ramaphosa removed over the Phala Phala farm scandal after Parliamentary Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula declined their initial attempt.
“She has not declined the motion because she knew that had she done that it would be irrational and the ATM would have taken her to court the very next day. Instead the Speaker is asking the ATM to provide further clarity on s89 of the Constitution. The President has violated the entire s89 and all the subsection hence the ATM didn’t specify in the manner as now required by the Speaker,” the party said.
