Eskom: Continuous Stage 4 load shedding until further notice
On Sunday evening, Eskom announced Stage 4 load shedding would be implemented continuously until further notice.

Eskom said load shedding would be implemented continuously until further notice, in a power alert on Sunday evening, 29 January.
STAGE 4 LOAD SHEDDING UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
According to the power utility, a generating unit each broke down at Camden, Grootvlei, Lethabo and Majuba Power Stations since Saturday.
A unit each at Kriel and Lethabo has returned to service while the return of a unit each at Duvha, Matla and Tutuka Power Stations has been delayed.
As things stand, 17 163MW of capacity is unavailable due to breakdowns and 6049MW is unavailable due to planned maintenance.
“Eskom will publish a further update as soon as any significant changes occur. Eskom requests members of the public to continue assisting by reducing the usage and to sparingly use electricity,” said the power utility.
