Xavier Musk, Elon Musk’s 18-year-old transgender daughter is severing all ties with the South African tycoon and has even filed legal documents to get rid of his last name.

The teenager, born male, is changing her full name and legally declaring her gender identity. In papers filed in Santa Monica, California, Musk says she wants to be known as Vivian Jenna Wilson. She will now be taking her mother, Justine Wilson’s surname. Wilson, a Canadian author, was married to Musk from 2000 to 2008.

“I no longer live with my biological father nor do I wish to be related to him in any way,” she wrote in court papers.

The hearing for a name change is set for Friday, 24 June 2022, before a Santa Monica judge.

WILL SHE STILL HAVE CLAIM OVER ELON MUSK’S FORTUNES?

For now, it isn’t clear whether she is financially supported by Elon Musk, whose net worth is at a staggering $213 billion, and whether her dislike for the Tesla founder extends to refusing handouts for him. So far, Musk hasn’t said anything about the matter.

Vivian (still legally Xavier) has a twin brother named Griffin and three triplet brothers – Kai, Damon and Saxon, who are now aged 16.

As to what led to the strained relationship between the pair, reports suggest the teenager wasn’t happy with her father’s antics lately. Musk announced he would be voting for a Republican candidate in the next US presidential election. This likely didn’t sit well with Vivian, given that the party has vowed to undo pro-LGBTQI policies.

In addition, Musk recently fired employees at his company SpaceX for penning an open letter to him. In the letter, the staffers called Musk out for his tweeting habits and accused him of embarrassing them.

According to various reports, the employees demanded that the 51-year-old be called to order when it comes to what he says on social media – Twitter in particular.

“As our CEO and most prominent spokesperson, Elon is seen as the face of SpaceX — every Tweet that Elon sends is a de facto public statement by the company,” it reads in part.
