Eight-year-old boy disappears from home in Free State Village

SAPS are searching for an eight-year-old boy named Motlatsi Yika, who went missing from his home in the Free State.

The Free State police are searching for a missing eight-year-old boy. Motlatsi Yika lives in Letshalemaduke Village Section in Masimong.

The police encourage anyone with information about the missing eight-year-old to come forward.

South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson Warrant Officer Mmako Mophiring said Motlatsi was last seen wearing a red top and navy blue pants at home, in a statement on Sunday, 26 March.

“He went out of the yard and never returned,” said the police spokesperson.

Members of the public with information about the missing eight-year-old’s whereabouts are encouraged to contact the investigating officer Detective Warrant Officer Gumede of the Namahadi SAPS at 082-419-6794 or Lieutenant-Colonel Mokoena at 082-567-5243 or the Crime Stop hotline at 08600-10111.

Tip-offs can also be provided via the MySAPS app.
