Booysens Park double murder: Two victims shot multiple times
Two relatives – aged 48 and 17 – were found dead with multiple gunshot wounds in Booysens Park on Thursday morning.

The police in the Eastern Cape are investigating an alleged double murder that took place in Booysens Park, Bethelsdorp sometime before Thursday morning, 7 July.
BOOYSENS PARK DOUBLE MURDER
South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu said the bodies of two people were found with gunshot wounds in Polar Park, Booysens Park on Thursday morning at approximately 8:00.
A concerned neighbour reportedly saw the front door of his neighbour’s house wide open and became suspicious.
“He then summoned the ex-girlfriend of the deceased person and together with a community leader, they entered the house,” said Naidu.
Inside the house, the body of Zola Ndayi, 48, was found lying on the floor. The trio immediately went to the Chatty police station and reported the incident.
When members arrived at the house they found another body. Apiwe Mdunjeni, 17, was found lying on the bed.
Both the victims had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, according to the police. “They were related to each other and lived in the same house,” said the spokesperson.
Detectives attached to the Bethelsdorp police station are investigating two cases of murder. The motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage.
