The bodies of a male and female were discovered on Monday, 27 March, inside an old building (Khumbula social club) at Kabokweni.

“The male partner of the aunt is said to be related to Mhlongo, and he too left for work earlier that Saturday but was amazed when he got home to learn about the disappearance of the two.

“Shockingly, on that dreadful Monday, 27 March 2023, the aunt was informed by some community members about two bodies that were discovered at the said building. She went there only to get the shock of her life as the two lifeless bodies, including that of her niece, were found hanging,” Mohlala explained.

Furthermore, police said a preliminary investigation revealed that Mhlongo had visited the relatives at Kabokweni. He was reportedly in search of employment opportunities.
