Let’s be honest, the BMW Concept Touring Coupé looks production-ready. It’s based on the Z4 and uses a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine and was shown at the fancy Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2023 in Italy earlier in May.

However, the company reckons the BMW Concept Touring Coupé The closed twowhich was developed for one-off production, continues the tradition of legendary BMW classics: a timeless symbol of freedom on four wheels and the joy of travelling together.

Look closely, and you’ll notice inspiration taken from the BMW Z4M that sported the E46 M3’s 3.2-litre naturally-aspirated engine. Synonymous with BMW styling is the Hofmeister kink present, there’s also the long ‘clown shoe’ bonnet as well as gorgeous wide wheel arches, according to Top Gear.

Another aspect of the car I adore is the Sparkling Lario exterior hue that was specially created for the BMW Concept Touring Coupé.

It has embedded flakes of blue glass, to give its grey-brown hues an impression of depth. The effect is completed by silver-bronze accents and the specially designed BMW kidney grille with longitudinal bars.

The two-seater rides on 20-inch wheels at the front and 210inches at the rear axle, provide a logical continuation of these colour accents in the 20-spoke radial design.

The interior provides a hint at something else the designers thought of: bespoke travel bags.

The carmaker says that high-quality workmanship and attention to detail characterise the luggage designed exclusively for the BMW Concept Touring Coupé by the long-established Schedoni leather workshop in Modena, Italy.

The custom-made set consists of two large and one small weekender bags, plus a garment bag, all of which are perfectly coordinated with the vehicle.
