Badplaas man found dead near his bullet-ridden bakkie

‘We want to send a stern warning to those who have been involved in this brutal killing that, we will hunt them down till we find them,’ said Mpumalanga police commissioner Lieutenant-General Semakaleng Manamela.

The Mpumalanga police are investigating the alleged murder of a man who was found dead near his home in Badplaas with several gunshot wounds on Sunday, 12 June.

BADPLAAS MAN SHOT AND KILLED

South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson Brigadier Selvy Mohlala said the police were informed about a shooting in Dlamini A, Badplaas at approximately 23:50 on Sunday night.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers found the lifeless body of a man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.

“The members also noticed a bakkie nearby which was riddled and it was later discovered to be that of the deceased,” said Mohlala.

The Mpumalanga police are investigating a case of murder and provincial commissioner Lieutenant-General Semakaleng Manamela condemned the “terrifying” Badplaas incident.

“We want to send a stern warning to those who have been involved in this brutal killing that, we will hunt them down till we find them. The men and women in Blue will never rest until the suspects are brought to book,” said Manamela.
