GIFT OF THE GIVERS WAREHOUSE RANSACKED BY CRIMINALS

This past weekend, the internationally recognised non-profit organization Gift of the Givers suffered a burglary of its warehouse, where amongst other things, relief packs for fire victims had been stolen.

According to Gift of the Givers, items such as a TV, PC, laptop, microwave, kettle, radio, frames, items packed for fire victims and coveralls were stolen. Damage was caused to plumbing, cupboards and a desk. Unfortunately, due to load shedding, the alarm didn’t activate.

THE ORGANISATION REFLECTS ON THE EFFORT MADE BY LAW ENFORCEMENT

“The response time from the SAPS was incredible in our time of need, and the community were amazing, within minutes they sent very accurate information that resulted in suspects that broke into our Cape Town office being taken into custody,” the thankful organisation reflected.
