Democratic Alliance has ‘collapsed’ the City of Ekurhuleni

The ANCYL says the DA leadership under Mayor Tania Campbell has collapsed the city of Ekurhuleni.

The African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) in Ekurhuleni claims the Democratic Alliance (DA) under Mayor Tania Campbell has collapsed the City of Ekurhuleni.

DA COLLAPSE THE CITY OF EKURHULENI

The ANCYL regional spokesperson Simphiwe Patose, says the DA coalition has collapsed the City of Ekurhuleni and turned it into an underdeveloped jungle.

He says there are gaping potholes at every turn, destroying our road network and communities.

“Service delivery is virtually non-existent under this so-called DA EFF coalition. This administration has proven to be an enemy of the poor of the poorest communities. This administration is bereft of any capacity to assist small businesses and residents in curtailing the impact of load-shedding,” says Patose.

DA TURNED EKURHULENI INTO A JUNGLE

The ANCYL says other metros are engaged in processes that will ensure they are less reliant on the national grid, not the DA.

“Our municipality grids are in dire straits. Residents going for nearly 36 hours without electricity is now very common,” says Patose.

Patose says the City of Ekurhuleni has collapsed, and service delivery is now an aspiration instead of an essential feature in the office of the city. 

The ANCYL claims the DA plays musical chairs, removing each other and replacing incompetence with even more incompetence resulting in the city’s collapse.

What is most disconcerting is when this damage is inflicted on the residents of Ekurhuleni.”
