Oh dear. The mudslinging continues.

Huffington Post exclusively reported on Wednesday that ANC MP Makhosi Khoza has been charged with two counts of ill-discipline by the KZN branch of the ANC.

According to HuffPo, Khoza has been accused of contravening 11 party rules including bringing the ANC into disrepute, failing to comply with party policy and behaving in a manner which provokes divisions or impacts negatively on the unity of the ANC.

Cited in the charge sheet, according to HuffPo, are screenshots of her Facebook posts and the speech that she made for speech she made recently, where she called for Jacob Zuma to step down.

The charge sheet takes issue with the “public attack” on the organisation.

ANC spokesperson Zizi Kodwa also chipped in, saying Khoza was in “flagrant defiance of the party”, News24 reported.

He does insist that the Khoza is not being charged because she called for Zuma to step down but because her conduct went “against ANC rules and disciplinary code”.

He further added:

“She is in violation of her oath of membership and violation of party discipline, because what is the point of joining the ANC if you can’t abide by its own rules.”

He also alleged to News24 that Khoza has ignored the calls, despite the party “trying to contact her on numerous occassions”.

According to News24, Derek Hanekom, Pravin Gordhan and Jackson Mthembu have also been given a talking to and “told to stop” speaking out against Zuma.

Khoza, who has supported the call for the motion of  no confidence against Jacob Zuma to be conducted by secret ballot, has received numerous death threats. Both Khoza and her daughter have been threatened. Last week, she posted screenshots of messages telling her she has “21 days to live” to Facebook.

The  number that sent the messages was later traced back to Black First Land First by the Daily Maverick, despite denials from Andile Mngxitama that his organisation had anything to do with it.
