With South Africa getting yet another reminder that racism is still a massive problem through Adam Catzavelos, the usual discussions of “how do we fix it” have once again been taking place. While charges have been laid against the racist Catzavelos and his family even fired him from their business, AKA has his own idea on how to fix things.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday afternoon to share his thoughts on the Catzavelos situation, AKA praised his old school, St John’s College for banning Catzavelos from the school premises. It is believed that the Joburg racist has his children enrolled at the school.
“As an Old Boy I take my hat off to this … Well done College! It couldn’t have gone down as a popular or easy decision. I say this as someone who grew up there amongst some strong attitudes of white privilege and entitlement.
@stjohns_college This is a powerful move. Proud.”
Then he took a somewhat controversial turn as he added that “interracial sex” is the answer to racism as well as creating more “mixed race” babies. While the tweets chalked up thousands of likes, not everyone was impressed.
Some South Africans were quick to point out how coloured people are still able to show racism towards black South Africans on a daily basis.
This is what happens when you are lazy to read children. You tweet unwarranted and unsubstantiated tweets like this.
Perhaps he is unsure of the remnants of the Immortality Act and colonial rape. https://t.co/9eJNJ1e6Kb

Did AKA really say interracial sex will end racism???? What a moronic thing to say especially by a 30 y/o man who has lived as a product of interracial sex in a country infested by gross racism.
There is attention seeking and then there is simply being a fool.

How does what he is saying save the world? Racism has been there throughout history. I dont see the connection between it and mixed raced babies?

An entire Coloured man saying such rubbish like we don't have racism directed specifically towards us? What level of poes is @akaworldwide trying to reach?

With racism undoubtedly still rife in SA, the question remains. How do we put a stop to it?
