It’s been more than a week after a Khayelitsha resident discovered the body of 19 year-old Sinoxolo Mafevuka, but police have made no progress in tracking down her murderer as of yet.

The partially clothed body was discovered early last Tuesday, but at their own admission, the SAPS don’t even have a suspect in custody yet.

Social media was abuzz earlier this week after a 16 year-old from Constantia was murdered in the Tokia forest; with three suspects arrested within 48 hours of her death.

Critics have lashed out at the SAPS for their seeming lack of enthusiasm in finding the culprit in the Khayelitsha murder, while tracking down the teenager from Constantia’s alleged murderers in less than two days.
