9 provinces, 9 apartments. What does R10k get you SA’s major centres?
Apparently, next to losing a loved one and going through a divorce, moving is one of the most stressful things in life. So, to remind you just how stressful, here’s a R10 000 apartment for every province.
Some are pretty damn sh*tty, but if you leave out the more popular centres you can get a pretty neat place for 10k in some parts of South Africa.
Johannesburg
A little bit of Tuscany in Sandton. Two bedrooms, lots of sun and roomy too, no wonder it’s one of Johannesburg’s most popular areas.
Cape Town
Well, we knew this was coming. 10k in Cape Town CBD gets you a comfy bachelor apartment where you can knead your stone ground, alternative sourdough bread in the kitchen while sitting on your bed… in the lounge.
Durban
Look, it’s Durban so you’ll probably need to give the place a splashing of paint; but the views are spectacular.
Port Elizabeth
We tried, but it doesn’t seem like there are any apartments in this price range available in PE, but here’s a four bedroom family home… winning. Old person not included.
Nelspruit
Why the f*ck don’t we all live in Nelspruit? R10k for this… nuff said.
Rustenburg
Looks a little serial killer-ish, can we go back to Nelspruit now?
Bloemfontein
R10k in Bloem gets you a posting with terrible spelling and no pictures, we realise it’s a little high, but surely they can take a ‘kiekie’?
Lephalale
We sh*t you not; Lephalale has one available space to live and all it says is: “one manager stay in this house.”
Kathu
They might have thought about taking these images by day, but at least R10k in Kathu get’s a you a two bedroom on the golf estate.
Ok so if there’s one thing we all need to take away from this it’s that folks need to learn how to post property, properly and that Cape Town is a rip-off.
