The kerbside appeal of Land Rover’s small SUVs will extend with the introduction of two special edition models, the Discovery Sport Urban Edition and Evoque Bronze Collection Edition.
Set to arrive in South Africa during the last quarter of 2021, the Discovery Sport Urban Edition and Evoque Bronze Collection Edition feature model-specific design elements that separate it from the regular models in the Land Rover offering.
The styling differences in the Urban Edition and Bronze Collection Edition
The special Disco Sport model features darkened aluminium trim and a black contrasting roof to offset the available orange, grey, red, black and silver paint finishes. Inside, there’s also a special leather-free suede-type upholstery.
The Bronze Collection Special Edition Evoque boasts a bronze roof, with copper side vents and dark grey 20-inch allow wheels. Inside, the mats are capped with metal trim and there’s also a panoramic sliding roof.
Both models use Land Rover’s ClearSight rear-view mirror, which allows the driver to switch between natural mirror view or a video feed using the reverse camera to see what’s going on behind the car in the event that there are passenger heads or luggage items in the way.

Powertrains the same
You can order your Disco Sport Urban Edition in P250 or D200 guise, which is a 183 kW/365 N.m turbopetrol and 147 kW/430 N.m turbodiesel respectively.
The Evoque model also has a D200 and P250 option but also boasts the P300e plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) variant, which uses a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbopetrol engine supplemented with an electric motor. The PHEV can be driven in electric-only mode for up to 55 km and use an average of just 2.0-litres/100 km.
