Charles Leclerc fans pitch up at F1 driver’s home: ‘a boundary that should not be crossed’

Charles Leclerc warned his Formula 1 fans that visiting his private residence in Monaco “is a boundary that should not be crossed”.

Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc revealed that fans show up to his home address and harass him for autographs and photographs.

Charles Leclerc was forced to issue a message via Instagram warning fans that gathering outside his Monaco home was a breach of privacy, according to BBC Sport.

The Ferrari driver posted on his Instagram Stories, and said: “For the past few months, my home address has somehow become public, leading to people gathering beneath my apartment, ringing my bell, and asking for pictures and autographs.”

“While I’m always happy to be there for you and I truly appreciate your support, please respect my privacy and refrain from coming to my house.

“I’ll make sure to stop for everyone when you see me on the streets or at the track, but I won’t be coming downstairs if you visit my home.

“Your support, both in person and on social media, means the world to me, but there is a boundary that should not be crossed.”

The 25-year-old Monegasque resident has garnered a huge following on social media, and has over 10 million followers on Instagram.

The Formula 1 driver was robbed by two people donning motorcycle helmets a year ago. According to USA Today, the incident took place in April 18, 2022, in Viareggio, located in Tuscany.

Italian police arrested four suspects, three men and one women, in connection with the robbery. Leclerc had his Richard Mille 67-02 watch stolen which is valued at R6 million.

Leclerc began his Formula 1 career at Sauber in 2018 before joining Ferrari in 2019. He has been part of the Ferrari Academy since 2016.
