Latest generation Nissan X-Trail launches in South Africa, and it’s competitively priced

The fourth-generation Nissan X-Trail is on sale locally and features a 2.5-litre petrol engine with three trim levels priced from R649 900.

The fourth-generation Nissan X-Trail model has been launched in South Africa, offering one engine choice and three trim levels.

The latest generation of the Nissan X-Trail has launched in South Africa and the Japanese brand has priced its ‘Premium Urban Crossover’ aggressively, with the base Visia CVT model priced at R649 900, according to Motorpress.

THE NISSAN X-TRAIL NOW BOASTS MORE POWER FROM ITS 2.5-LITRE ENGINE

The three model line-up is concluded by the Acenta CVT for R709 900, and R759 900 for the flagship Acenta Plus CVT model.

For the new model the 2.5-litre petrol engine now produces 135kW and 244Nm. Nissan says it sees an increase of 9kW and 11Nm from the previous generation, according to IOL.

It has a top speed of 195km/h and in terms of fuel consumption Nissan claims an average figure of 7.4-litres per 100km from a 55-litre fuel tank capacity.

THE NEW MODEL HAS A LONG LIST OF STANDARD DRIVER ALERT FEATURES

The new model has features such as Intelligent Cruise Control, Predictive Front Collision Warning, Blind Spot Intervention, Cross Traffic Alert, Forward Emergency Braking, and ProPilot – among others.

In terms of the interior there are three new displays including a 12.3-inch intuitive touch screen, 10.8-inch head-up display and 12.3 inch digital instrument cluster (TFT).

The Nissan X-Trail is on sale from Thursday, 13 April 2023 at dealers nationwide.
