Lady Du shows off stunning BMW 325i and Mzansi car fans are loving the Amapiano star’s customised ride

Lady Du is Amapiano royalty and also has a love for cool cars, the songwriter recently showed off her customised BMW 325i on Instagram.

Amapiano musician Lady Du has a passion for cars, and her favourite ride is a modified BMW 325i commonly known as the ‘Gusheshe’.

The Gusheshe refers specifically to the E30 version of the BMW 325i and was produced between 1982 to 1994. BMW’s Plant Rosslyn in Pretoria was in charge of building two-door coupes and four-door sedan models. Special models produced in Rosslyn were the 333i and a bespoke 325iS, according to Wikipedia.

LADY DU RATES THE GUSHESHE AS HER ‘NUMBER ONE’

Lady Du posted the latest photo of her midnight blue BMW on Instagram this week, and captioned the post: “Let’s say spin city, see you later. I’m taking WAWA to spin city.”

The Amehlo singer, who boasts over 1.7 million followers on Instagram regularly updates her fans on the progress of the Gusheshe, according to Briefly. Check out a post of the classic BMW that Lady Du owns below:

The BMW 325i Lady Du owns in standard form produced 125kW and 222Nm. It was was available with a six-speed manual transmission. BMW’s traditional rear-wheel drive layout produced an exciting driving experience thanks to the combination of the powerful engine and manual gearbox.

The 325i is one a few cars with iconic status in South Africa. The name Gusheshe originates from the slang word for quick, ‘Akusheshe’. In December a pristine locally-built 325iS was sold for R900 000 at an auction in Johannesburg.

In addition to the Gusheshe, Lady Du also owns an orange Audi A3 which she affectionately calls ‘Fanta orange’. She has owned the hatchback for nine years.

The Amapiano star said this about the Audi: “(It is) one of my favourite toys after the Gusheshe phela that’s number one.”
